    The Parc de la Deûle is an area of 350 hectares whose ambition, in the medium term, is to create a link between the Lille metropolis and the mining area. The park was designed by landscape architects Jacques SIMON, Yves HUBERT and Jean-Noël CAPART. Work started in 1996. Within this park, a space of 23 hectares is dedicated to “dream nature”, the garden dreams of citizens of the metropolis. This is Mosaic, the garden of cultures. The rehabilitation of the site started in 2001 and the development of the gardens in 2003.
