The lake is 4.6 kilometers long and between 200 and 2000 meters wide. It surrounds the nature reserve Drewitzer See with Lübowsee and Dreiersee in the nature park Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide. It is a very calcareous clear water lake, which is not directly connected to other lakes.
