Menaggio Lakeside Promenade

A wonderful promenade.

There are restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlors here.

The walk, starting from the tourist port, first faces the ancient nucleus with characteristic arcaded houses, continues on the edge of parks and gardens of villas and old hotels, and, skirting the Lido beyond the mouth of the Sanagra stream, leads to the Regina state road at of the seventeenth-century church of San Rocco. The lakeside promenade of Menaggio, with its large hotels and lido, is one of the most elegant in the whole of the Lario and offers a unique view of the center of the same. A route that offers different, unequal spaces: between narrow squares, open spaces with welcoming porticoes under which to perceive the atmosphere of the lake, access routes to more backward squares from which narrow streets of ancient layout branch off.
