An absolute gem of a hunting lodge built in 1852 for William, Duke of Brunswick, said to be one of only two of its kind in Europe: its exterior is covered with cork oak bark especially imported from Portugal. Apart from the foundations and tower added in 1902-1903 everything is made out of wood, with front and side arcades making the biggest impression. Sadly the lodge is turning into a ruin, as it is not being cared for, nor even fenced off by its current owner.
