Jagdhaus and Rittergut Kössern

In Kössern you can make a stopover on the bike path along the Mulderadweg in the Jagdhaus and Rittergut.

A nice place for a trip by bike. There is a farm shop with a small cafe, a beautiful garden on the manor with a great view over the Muldeauen.

The hunting lodge, built in the style of a large manor house around 1709 - often also referred to as a hunting lodge - is an outstanding gem of baroque architecture in the Muldental. The tightly structured, richly painted facade shows itself in perfect harmony. The foyer on the ground floor was supported on both sides by four strong pillars to allow a view of the Great Garden. A spacious staircase, preserved in the original, leads to the upper floor with a surprisingly grand ballroom, which is crowned by lush stucco and a large ceiling painting. The knight above the chimney represents the client's image.
