In 1925 she was extended with an extension
It was two-storeyed and now offered 32 accommodation options for the Rhönwanderer and was one of the best-equipped mountain huts in the Rhön.
In 1930, the water pipe was laid to the hut, the roof of the extension changed to the gable roof, a lookout tower was set up and a windscreen was built in front of the entrance
In 1945, after the Rhönklub was banned, it served as a youth hostel "Lilo Hermann Hohe Geba"
