Schloss Klingenberg

Beautiful, albeit poorly maintained castle that cannot be visited and is privately owned.

The Neippergsche Schloss, also called Klingenberg Castle, in the Heilbronn district of Klingenberg on a mountain spur above the Neckar goes back to the castle of the medieval local nobility, was acquired by the Lords of Neipperg in the early 15th century and was then based at Neipperg Castle from the middle of the 16th century until the construction of the castle in Schwaigern their headquarters. The property, which has been remodeled many times and is now used for residential and commercial purposes, contains remains from many construction periods.
I drove up there and was immensely disappointed with the condition of the buildings towering proudly over the Neckar Valley.

I also pedaled up there on my mountain bike, you drive past it so often, it also looks impressive from below, so that you become curious and make your way up, but the appearance was one for me Culture shock, you look on the internet and get information, the history of this castle is very interesting, but nothing has probably been done for decades, it's a shame that nobody had the money to maintain the property for something like that.
Some time ago I even wanted to create a highlight, no, I'm just disappointed with the condition too.

Boot up, look yes, but please don't be disappointed like I was, the sight leaves a lot to be desired.
