Reachable via a beautiful dirt road in the middle of the hills, the chapel of San Lorenzo in Mombello di Torino is the only remaining evidence of the ancient settlement of Ognanum, active until the 12th century and almost completely disappeared in the 15th century. The most significant original part is the apse, built with sandstone blocks and bricks, dating back to the 12th century.
