The village of Spean Bridge is ideally located for a whole raft of adventures. It makes for a great base: there are a number of guesthouses and bunkhouses and the West Highland Line connects the village to Glasgow and a host of other Highland stations.

The impressive Grey Corries Range sprawls to the south, whilst Ben Nevis and the Aonachs can also be accessed from nearby. If travelling by car, its position on the junction of the A82 and A86 means you can access various other Highland regions relatively quickly.

The Commando Memorial is an impressive local landmark. Overlooking the north-facing corries of Ben Nevis, the Aonnachs and the Grey Corries, it was erected in 1952 and commemorates the elite Commando soldiers who died during the Second World War.
