The Neckar certainly looked different here 969 years ago - but parts of the bridge really are that old. If you like mental cinema, you can imagine the importance and value of the bridge for trade and the economy at that time.

Cycling

The Pfahljochbrücke near Neckarhausen is one of the oldest surviving wooden bridges in southern Germany. Some wooden parts date from around 1257. But don't worry, the bridge was restored in 1988 and is therefore in good shape and above all stable.
