The pretty little village of Ilmer is nestled close to the Chiltern escarpment and a stone's throw away from the picturesque Vale of Aylesbury. There are many excellent walks in the surrounding countryside.

Its 12th century St Peter's Church is a conspicuous sight, particularly its shingle spire and timber-framed bellcote. The building is Grade II*-listed.
