Just a stone's throw downstream from Brendon's main bridge is this delightful packhorse bridge. Cobbled and wonderfully neat, this bridge has spanned the East Lyn River for hundreds of years. Packhorse bridges like this can be found throughout Exmoor and Dartmoor, as well as much of England. They have low parapets to allow laden horses to pass easily.
