"After wet gravel paving, the Wiedesee was designed as a landscape lake in the 1970s.

The renaturation of the former gravel quarrying area was carried out exclusively in accordance with the aspects of nature conservation and landscape management. In fact, the newly created shallow water zones, bays, reed beds and a peninsula were soon populated by various animal and plant species. Here you can wonderfully look out over the Wiedesee, an otherwise not publicly accessible area that is probably used by the local fishing club.
