The ridge, which was a mine in times past, is made of reddish slate, which is said to have its color due to the shed blood of witches who met up here and apparently had to pay for it here too. At first glance you can no longer see anything of the mine. The tower with its 2 floors offers a good all-round view towards Lienne, Amblève, Coo and the pumped storage power plant on the Mont de Sainte-Victoire.
