The Wolfsbornquelle rises directly on the border with the neighboring town of Kredenbach. The tradition remains firmly rooted that the last wolf was spotted here around 1850. Since then, the name Wolfesborn has emerged for this area. Since this spring is located directly on a main hiking trail, the SGV Kredenbach department took over the design and maintenance of the spring. As the river progresses, the name of the water changes from Wolfsborn to Berschebach and only flows into the Unglinghäuser Bach after about 2 km in Niederdorf.
The beech forest below the spring is around 60 years old. Depending on the season and the position of the sun, you can enjoy very atmospheric pictures here.
