There is an open cabin that can be heated and where you can sleep. Here it is absolutely quiet: pure nature.
History: In 1892 the settlement was built by a family Anton and Amanda Karlsson. It is noteworthy that the area is above the cultivation limit and thus illegal. In a law dating from 1867, the state had set a limit - the cultivation limit - with the intention of protecting the reindeer grazing land of the Sami from new settlements.
The family came from the village of Haraliden 160 km through trackless land here. They started their journey together but were soon separated. Anton took the sea route with the household goods and some of the children, Amanda walked with the cattle and the rest of the children. In the time around midsummer Anton had arrived at the river Laisälven and it was still 5 km to Delliknäse. Then the almost unbelievable happened, he saw Amanda walking along the beach. On their way they had no contact with each other, but arrived at the same time! "God must be with these people," the boatman who had rowed Anton to that place exclaimed.
Three generations have lived here. The summer of 1963 was her last summer.
