The main building was built in the middle of the 19th century. It is a double house of six bays wide and originally had two storeys built in brick. In the second half of the 19th century the facade was raised by the addition of half a storey. The front facade on the eastern side of the castle is terminated by a cornice that extends over the entire width and has rectangular windows with lintels and window sills in blue stone. In the same period, the entrance door was enlarged to the width of two bays and a glass canopy was added. The whole is covered by a saddleback roof and covered with Flemish tiles.

At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century a new house was built on the south side with a width of two bays and consisting of two storeys. This extension is covered by a mansard roof. In the southeast corner a corner tower was built consisting of two and a half storeys covered by a tent roof covered with slate tiles.

The farm is located northwest of the castle and consists of three wings built around a rectangular yard. The outbuildings are all covered by saddleback roofs covered with Flemish tiles.

The castle was built in the middle of the 19th century by Baron de Roosen. After his death, the castle came into the possession of a descendant of the Hoegaerts family. In 2011, Alfredo De Gregorio, architect of the Gallo-Roman Museum, housed his architectural office in the castle.

The castle is not open to the public.
