At Landgoed Broekhuizen you can also walk a nice experience route, for both children and adults. There is also a botanical garden (open on Sunday afternoons from May to September).

Broekhuizen Castle (just west of Leersum) dates from 1650. After a major fire in 1906, it was rebuilt as much as possible in the old style. The facade bears the coat of arms of the Van Broeckhuysen family, who already had possessions in this area in 1294. The TV baking program Heel Holland Bakt was recorded in the garden of this castle from 2013 to 2016.
The castle is a knight's court, country house
and estate in Leersum, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug in the Dutch province of Utrecht. In its current form it dates from 1810. After a major fire in 1906, the castle was rebuilt as much as possible in the old style. The associated estate covers an area of 6 hectares.

A beautiful place where you can now sleep (probably for a little more than my budget), but it used to be the home of the nobility. As a walker you can enjoy the surrounding park.
