Mountaineering Highlight

From the summit of the Bella Tola there is an excellent panoramic view over the entire Val d'Anniviers with the surrounding 3,000 m peaks, the Weisshorn, Zinalhorn and Cornier glaciers. At the end of the valley you can see the striking ridge of the 4,000m peaks, which lead from the Bishorn via the Weisshorn to the Zinalrothorn and the Oberen Gabelhorn. The high peaks of the Valais Alps tower behind the Rhone Valley. The summit zones of the mountains show clear traces of glacial glaciation - clear, deep cuts, hollows and the jagged summit regions are evidence of the tremendous power of the mighty glaciers, which buried the entire Valais Alps under a thick armor of ice during the last ice age.
