The Douglasshütte is located on the banks of the Lünersee at the end of the Brandnertal in the Rätikon in Vorarlberg. The Lünersee was voted one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria by our readers. A visit is recommended. The lake and hut are at the foot of the Schesaplana, the highest mountain in the Rätikon. Together they form a unique alpine ensemble.

The mountain lake hut attracts hikers, mountaineers and fishermen alike. The house on the Lünersee was named after the Scottish industrialist, naturalist and co-founder of the Vorarlberg Alpine Association, John Sholto Douglass, and was opened in his presence in 1871.
