The Information Center: The Poles of Driel highlights the battle of the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade near the village of Driel during Operation Market Garden. It also discusses the origins of the Polish brigade, the dishonorable treatment of these Poles after the failure of the operation and the friendly bond that arose from gratitude between the Driel population and the Polish paratroopers.
The information center is at the back of the R.K. Church of Driel is located and can be visited daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kerkstraat 27, 6665 CE Driel.
Entrance is free.
A bus stop is located directly in front of the church and there are sufficient parking spaces for passenger cars and coaches.
