From 1978 onwards, extensive renovation work was carried out on the moated castle.
As part of this work, the main entrance was moved from the west side to the rear east side and the outer bailey was converted for residential purposes. A private clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry and psychosomatics began operating in the mansion in 1988.
The complex has been a listed building since December 4, 1984.
Today only the outer bailey is accessible.
