The city wall of Immenhausen is 3 km long and has two watchtowers facing west - towards the nearby town of Calden, which was owned by the archbishopric of Mainz. The first landgrave of Hesse, Heinrich I von Brabant, had the fortifications built in a short time.

There is a beautiful park between the Owl Tower and the Horseshoe Tower. The Eulenturm functions as a publicly accessible observation tower.
