The SDW Hamburg Forest School is located in the middle of the small Niendorfer Gehege city forest in Eimsbüttel, right next to the local district forestry office.
Surrounded by an old mixed forest and the fallow deer enclosure, the Forest School is an ideal starting point for discovering the forest with all your senses.
The large, natural outdoor area is fenced in and offers plenty of space for playing, exploring and learning.
A furnished seminar room is suitable for indoor activities in bad weather, and the animal tracks exhibition with many animal specimens offers space to marvel and experience.
The Niendorfer Gehege Forest School is one of the most important forest education facilities in Hamburg.
The award by the NUN Commission as a “Sustainability Education Center” confirms the work of the SDW Forest School.
