The Ochtin Aragonite Cave located in the Revúcka Highlands in Central Slovakia is literally a world rarity and a unique natural phenomenon of underground karst. In particular, it is attracted by the diversity and richness of aragonite fillings and the particular development of underground spaces. Due to its importance and unique decoration, it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The cave is accessible by a 145 meter long galley, which opens to cave areas at an altitude of 642 m. From the total length of 300 m, since 1972 the public has been made available 230 m (duration of the tour 30 minutes).Based on its length data, it can be assumed that it is not a large cave. It is, however, extremely valuable. Its value is made by aragonite decoration (mainly known as the Srdce Hrádek), which is the only one of its kind in Central Europe, with only a few caves in the world.
