Tilton on the Hill is one of the highest villages in Leicestershire at 719 feet (219 m) above sea level. It is a lovely village that has a couple of B&Bs and an excellent pub, which serves good food and has rooms to stay in.

The impressive St Peter's Church is Grade I-listed and there are a further 18 buildings in the Tilton area that are Grade II-listed.
