Right on the border between the counties of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, Welham is a gorgeously rural little village. Set in the Welland Valley, one of the most beautiful regions in the Midlands, the countryside is a treat all year round.
Spring sees the lambing season come into full flow in the fields around the village. Winter is as good a time as any to seek a meal at the Old Red Lion, which has a cosy log fire to recline by.
