The church is located in the immediate vicinity of the ancient rural agglomeration once called "casina di Nizolina" - lying on a slight slope, a reminder of the remote and imposing bed of the Olona river.
The church as it appears today, however, differs from the historical descriptions for one fundamental detail: the building, originally facing east (as can be seen from the documentation of the end of the 16th century), today has the apse towards the west, but he has news of when this change took place.
The structure of the church is composed as follows: adjacent to the northern wall of the apse there is the square bell tower, the rectangular apse faces west, where there is an external projection of the niche that contains the Holy Nativity of Mary. A central door gives access to the church, with a single hall. The ceiling has a beautiful wooden structure; adorning the walls today are statues of recent manufacture. The apse is raised by a step with respect to the floor of the hall and preserves a precious tabernacle ascribable to the XVIII century; on the southern wall of the apse then, through a connecting door, you pass into the sacristy.
