From a strategic point of view, the Montagne de Bard offers not only the Gallo-Romans but also the German army as a static vantage point.
A good observation point for some, a black spot for the Resistance, who will later manage to take the place and take 21 German prisoners.
This action will trigger the German offensive against the municipalities of Liernais.
The municipality chose this place to build the Belvédère de la Paix to commemorate the many fallen Resistance fighters.

Hiking
The Montagne de Bard, away from the main roads, is a place to know; a landscaped gazebo offers a 360° view; protected natural environment. It overlooks the town of Bard-le-Régulier, whose rich church (stalls and statuary) where exhibitions are held, should be visited.
