    Hiking

Goodshaw Hill is a long, broad moorland ridge, which rises to the south east of Accrington town. It is on the path of the Rossendale Way, a long-distance trail around the borough of Rossendale's boundary.

Views are extensive from the ridge. The Pennines rise gently in the east, whilst much closer by is Hameldon Hill and its aerial masts. The sound of skylarks is not unusual on sunny days here.
