    Eggerslack Wood is an atmospheric and tranquil woodland that boasts tremendous viewpoints out towards the fells of Southern Lakeland. A maze of public footpaths explore the beautiful woodland, which still has a number of native trees amongst its ivy holly and ferns.

    The wood is easily accessed from Grange to the south and Cartmel to the west and are often combined with a walk to the Outlying Wainwright top of Hampsfell at 728 feet (222 m).
