A long time ago, a tribe of hunters / gatherers lived on the heights of Lassy, at the current site of the village.
Few vestiges remain from this period but this totem is one of them.
However, a legend says that this totem would have been sculpted by a local artist, Bertrand Michaud, and painted by the children of the Camille Claudel school in the 21st century. But he's a legend.
