On Sundays and public holidays the chapel is open from 3pm. There is an iron gate in front of the door, so it can remain open and the statue in the chapel is permanently visible.

The Leenderkapel or Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a chapel northwest of Schaesberg in the municipality of Landgraaf in the Dutch province of Limburg. The chapel is located near Leenhof and is located southeast of Schaesberg Castle and northeast of Hoeve Leenhof. South of the chapel, at the foot of the hill, is the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Heerlen-Schaesberg road. The chapel itself stands at the end of a ridge in the Kapellerbos.

On top of the hill in the Kapellerbos is 't Leenderkapelke, dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Leenderkapel was built by Count Johan Frederik van Schaesberg in the period 1623-1644. There are benches at the chapel where you can sit.
