This beach is one of the most popular local swimming areas in Seattle. There are several picnic tables to enjoy lunch and watch windsurfers and pleasure boats pass by. On a sunny day, there are excellent views of Mount Rainier and the beautiful surrounding landscape.

Magnuson Park Beach is within Warren G. Magnuson Park, Seattle's second largest park at 350 acres. This is a mile-long stretch of shoreline on Lake Washington. This is a public swim area and can get busy. Runners can enjoy the paved path that travels parallel to the shore.
