The Prof. Heuser Steg connects Cölbe with the hiking trails on the Lahnberge. Otherwise the hiker would have to take a long detour to cross the Lahn and "underrun" the B3 at this point. I think it's a nice bridge on which you can enjoy the Lahn crossing, unfortunately accompanied by the noise of the nearby B3.
