From Hereidsvegen you can get on a crampon on a hiking trail, which I followed up to this viewpoint. Good shoes are announced, as one runs partly on rocks. From there you have a wonderful view of the Eidfjord.

From the road go over small crampons to a nature trail. Solid shoes with good soles are helpful, as it is here on rocks and forest floor to the prospect. But it's worth the effort - especially in the sun.

This hiking trail is definitely fun! Shoes with a tread are helpful though, as it was very slippery for us. You don't have to turn around after the viewing platform, you can just continue along the path to the end. Then you come back down and can walk back along the road in a relaxed manner.
