The church in Grifte is located in the center of the village on a hill and has a fortified, walled churchyard. From the fortification, the circular wall provided with slits is still preserved on the west side. The church is determined by the late Gothic west tower, which was built in 1524. At the beginning of the 19th century, a classical hall building was added to the tower as a nave.
