The artwork called "The Tongue" (formerly known as "The Tongue of Lucifer") is a gigantic oval shape, designed by artist Ruud van de Wint. It is located along the A6 on the Knardijk in the Dutch province of Flevoland and was unveiled in September 1993. With its height of nine meters, width of four meters and thickness of one and a half meters, it is an impressive statue.
According to the creator, it symbolizes the fallen angel Lucifer, who sticks out his tongue at God as a sign of mockery.
