Kasteel Haeren was built between the 13th century and the 17th century. The oldest mention dates from 1296. The castle has been a national monument since 1967. In the eighties and nineties the castle was restored. Today it is divided into apartments, which are privately occupied. As a result, the castle is not accessible for viewing. The estate and forest are publicly accessible.
