Excellent double-track dirt trail parallel to Big Hill Lookout Rd west of Icehouse Reservoir, unfortunately as of 2022 the section east from here is still not on the Komoot/OSM map. It is visible on the Forest Service map, if you use another app like Locus or CalTopo. It continues on the west side of the road and turns north.
