The Pagelsee bridge was originally inaugurated on March 14th, 1973 as the bridge of German - Soviet friendship. As a result, the place Krienke, which at the time was surrounded by the Soviet military training area Granzin-Speck, was easier to reach again, as it was only accessible via poor sandy roads at that time.

After the fall of the Wall, it then went to waste until it was demolished in 2007 through the initiative of many citizens of the community. From 2008 it was rebuilt as a wooden bridge in 6 months through voluntary work, mostly over the weekend. At that time it was celebrated as the miracle of the Pagelsee.

If you want to see the Pagelsee bridge again, you shouldn't hesitate too long.
Although there were repeated efforts by the community for a preservation / renovation,
According to the current status, the National Park Office will dismantle it at the beginning of 2021.
