There is an inscription on the boulder: Pommerscher Forst-Verein 1884, which means the Pomeranian Forest Society 1884. It was a society that was established in Szczecin in 1870 and its main goal was to protect nature, as well as exchange experiences related to forestry.
Both foresters and forest lovers belonged to the organization. The members include: Professors Danckelmann, Möller and Wiedemann, as well as the famous forester Ferdinand von Räsfeld.
Dr. Marek Łuczak: "In 1935, Pommersche Forstverein entered into a serious dispute over forest policy with the ruling National Socialist regime and was resolved - this explains the disappearance of the monument from maps in the 1930s, and perhaps also the physical hiding of the monument"
The monument was found on January 13, 2021, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Marek Łuczak, and with the support of the City Forests of Szczecin, it was placed in its original place.
