Museum Harbor Leer

Leer has a very beautiful old harbor with great photo opportunities, which is ideal for a stroll.

The development of the city of Leer into an important trading center is inextricably linked with shipping. The sailing ships from the fen areas once docked on the bank in front of the Libra. The museum harbor is located at this historical location opposite the local history museum. The traditional ships that are still in service and moored here are professionally looked after and maintained by the "Schipper-Klottje" association, which cooperates with the local history association.

The freely accessible museum harbor is located directly on the shore of the Waageplatz. Numerous historical ships can be seen there all year round. Most of them belong to the members of the "Schipper Klottje Leer" e.V. Inspection of the ships from the inside is only possible after consultation with the owners.
