This lovely, sheltered section of the Hadrian's Wall walk takes you between the village of Port Carlisle and the Cottage and Glendale Holiday Park. Spring and summer are particularly beautiful here, as the path snakes its way through the trees and bushes, with bees buzzing between the flowers.
There was once a small shed amongst the bushes that a local converted into an unofficial pub 'the Gardeners Arms' for when closing time had been called at the Hope and Anchor in Port Carlisle.
