Triestewitz Castle was used for residential purposes until 1993. One wing was formerly bordered by a moat. The outer walls of this wing were reinforced by massive natural stone pillars. In the main front of the castle there is a passage with a seat niche portal and a large round arched niche, which may have been the entrance to the medieval castle.

The large palace park stretches south towards the Elbe. It covers an area of 16 hectares and houses many valuable foreign trees.

The former manor was built in the 16th century in the Renaissance style. After a fire, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style from 1764-1765. The castle is renovated.
