The inspiration for Hilary Mantel's award-winning novel, Wolf Hall, this manor house is a 17th-century building on the site of an older manor. The previous house was where Henry VIII is said to have met one of his many wives, Jane Seymour. Wolfhall was the Seymour family seat and Henry VII stayed here in 1535.

This was an inspiration for the book Wolf Hall, a Man Booker prize winning noval by Hillary Mantel.
