You will find the stele on Mauerweg in Teltow, opposite the junction of the Zehlendorf branch canal in the Teltow Canal. The stele also commemorates the death of Roland Hoff, who was shot in the back near border guards. The border guardsman Günter Seling was shot in the surveillance of his comrades at the barriers from Teltow to Zehlendorf on 29 September 1962. He died a day later of his gunshot wounds. He was 22 years old. The shooters were given no extra days off and no other honors, as was customary on other death shots.
