The moors are vast prairies, characterized by a small shrub, the heather or calluna, a heather which explodes in lush pink blooms at the end of August; together with it there are splendid flowers such as the pneumonant gentian, the buttercup, the rare rosemary willow, young birches and, in the stagnant water, sharp rushes and the elegant cattail. The last moors of the Milanese area survive in the Park, in Castellazzo, in the Cesate Woods, in Cà del Re and on the Seveso Plateau.
