Bike Touring Highlight
Moorlands These are vast grasslands, characterized by a small shrub, the moor or calluna, a heather that explodes in lush pink blooms at the end of August; together with it there are splendid flowers such as the pneumonant gentian and the buttercup, the rare rosemary willow, young birches and, in the stagnant water, sharp rushes and the elegant cattail. The last moorlands of the Milanese survive in the park, in Castellazzo, in the Cesate woods, in Cà del Re and in the Seveso plateau.
