The contained Aschbach source, the Bernhardsbrünnlein, was redesigned to be visible and publicly accessible as a regional excursion destination. A new spring stone with a spring basin made of white concrete marks the beginning of the Aschbach spring. From here, the Aschbach flows over a newly designed, near-natural stream bed made of dolomite ashlars into the existing stream at the edge of the forest. And from there about 1km further near Heuchelheim in the Reiche Ebrach.

The Berhardsbrünnlein is one of 5 sources of the Aschbach, also called Rümmelbach. The springs were formerly used to obtain drinking water.

Surrounding three walls made of ashlars fortify the area to the spring basin and offer play and seating facilities. A walkable gravel lawn provides access to the spring, prominent trees mark the location of the Aschbach spring (see dreiframken-info.de
