Tips
Bivouac with fireplace and toilet (Dixi). Deep black night, Gülpe is considered the darkest place in Germany - accordingly you will find a few shooting star hunters on site. Accommodation costs a small fee (1.50 €). Drinking water is available at the church cemetery.

A nice place to spend the night. Confirming the 3.5 euro fee per person per night for 2024. There are benches and tables available however no cover for a sunny day. A river swim spot perfect for a refreshing dip. There is also a clean Dixie toilet on-site. Water available in the church up the road however the signage is the most unfriendly I have seen to discourage people from using their water.
